CIFRE RESEARCH CONTRACTS
CIFRE agreements involve three partners in a research project leading to a doctorate: a company, a laboratory and the doctoral student.
The research topic is usually of an applied nature.
The company must be incorporated in France. In most cases, it is the company that handles the application. During the thesis, the company employs the PhD student on a 3-year fixed-term contract or on a permanent contract. The company receives a grant from the French Ministry of Research, managed by the ANRT. Since September 1, 2007, the minimum salary has been €1957 gross.
The laboratory can be a university, a school or a public research organization.
The CIFRE agreement can be set up at any time during the year.
