Courses at the Doctoral School

Study programs for PhD students are complementary to research work. They involve a minimum of 120 hours throughout the thesis (with no upper limit), are compulsory and consist of the following:
1. "DISCIPLINARY" TRAINING (Deepening knowledge and skills in the discipline to which the thesis relates)
40 hours
A single section on Adum: "Disciplinary training".
2. "NON DISCIPLINARY" TRAINING (outside the discipline to which the thesis is related - the aim is to enrich the doctoral student's skills)
80 hours
Divided into 8 categories on Adum:
1-"Activity and environment of the researcher"
2-"Teaching practice and knowledge of the academic environment"
3-"Major societal challenges"
4-"Digital tools"
5-"Langues"
6-"Scientific mediation and communication"
7-"Career development programs"
8-"Research ethics" : COMPULSORY (no minimum number of hours required) validated by the Département Formation du Collège Doctoral :
The "Ethics in Research" training course, otherwise known as "Scientific Integrity in the Research Profession", provided by the May 2016 decree on doctoral training is mandatory for all doctoral students enrolled in their thesis since the 2018/2019 academic year.
